my BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
I started my musical career in elementary band and private drum lessons. That eventually lead to playing drums in Jr. High Jazz bands, concert bands, and rocks bands. In high school I entered the world of marching band and became the drum captain at Mt. Spokane High School in Spokane WA. I eventually was recruited and given a full scholarship to one of the best liberal arts colleges (known for its music programs) in Washington state. At Whitworth University I started playing and teaching full time as a drummer. I won many awards at music festivals and got the opportunity to travel the country and play my instrument. In the last 10 years I have shifted my focus to music and the arts in the church. I currently am working at Desert Rock Church in Florence, AZ as the Music Director/Pastor.
I have been teaching drum lesson for 15 years and have had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students of all ages and ability levels. I pride myself on creating customized plans for each student to help them improve and achieve their personal goals. I also have a proven methodology that works amazing for younger kids 5-11 years old. I bring fun and excellence to every lesson. |
